Quayscape illustrations - from restaurants to boats
Quayscape illustrations - about architecture, about boats, about fish and flora. I love to draw and paint anything with lots of detail and intricate pattern, with a great palette of colour.
I’ve been drawing architecture for over forty years. I sold my first building portrait to the Harbour Light Restaurant in Paignton 36 years ago and am so proud that they continued to use the illustration on their website and menus until they finally closed down just a few years ago.
Having grown up around boats, my working knowledge of motorboats and yachts is a great starting point for my custom boat portraits. Have a look at the boat gallery on the website to see the vast range I’ve illustrated.
I’m currently researching, writing and illustrating a book on the commercial buildings of Dartmouth, it’s a mammoth project so a way to go yet, but watch this space as I hope to finish a guidebook this winter.
In the meantime Im open for commissions, get in touch to discuss your ideas and add your project to my commission list.
